Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited, a subsidiary of , has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from (SECI) for developing a 300 MW wind power project in Dwarka, Gujarat. The company has also signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI, effective from the scheduled commencement of supply date, ensuring long-term revenue visibility.
Gujarat remains one of India’s leading onshore wind markets, particularly across the Saurashtra and Kutch regions, including Devbhumi Dwarka, known for strong and stable wind regimes. These conditions support higher capacity utilisation factors (CUFs), strengthening project viability under central government-backed tenders.
The award follows SECI’s 1,200 MW wind auction concluded earlier this year. In that round, KP Energy secured 100 MW at a tariff of INR 3.67 per kWh, while several developers, including Waaree Renewable Energy, won capacities at INR 3.68 per kWh. Additional allocations were made at INR 3.69 per kWh under the bucket-filling mechanism.
